About Woare Builders Supply Company
Decatur Brick Company was established in 1852 Decatur, Illinois. Decatur Brick Company specialized in manufacturing brick and its products were sold throughout the Midwestern United States. When manufacturing of brick ended in the 1930's, Decatur Brick Company changed its name to Woare Builders Supply Company.
The current President, Ed Woare, represents the fifth generation of family members to run the masonry supplier while Mark Bateman, sales manager, is the sixth generation. Ed and Mark both are Certified Brick Specialists, a designation earned upon completion of coursework at the Brick Industry Association.
